Overview

Buck a Month Habits is a private, personal habit tracking app. We built it with a simple principle: your personal data belongs to you, and only you. The app works offline and stores all of your data locally on your device. Sharing is always your choice, and it's off unless you turn it on.

What data does the app store?

Buck a Month Habits stores the following information locally on your device:

• Habit names and types you create
• Daily habit completion records
• Journal entries you write
• Fasting session records
• App preferences (dark mode, timezone, colors, and similar settings)

This data is stored using your device's local storage and never leaves your device.

Data collection

We do not track you. Buck a Month Habits has no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party advertising SDKs. Your habit data stays on your device.

Billing

Buck a Month Habits is a paid app — one dollar a month, with a free trial. Payments are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, and your subscription is managed there. We never see or store your payment card details; billing is handled entirely by the platform you subscribed through, subject to its own privacy policy.

Data sharing

We never sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or other third parties. By default, your habit records, journal notes, and personal information are stored only on your device and are not shared with anyone.

Accountability community (coming soon)

We're building an opt-in accountability community, included with your subscription. It is entirely opt-in: your data stays private on your device unless you choose to share it. When it launches, you'll be able to decide exactly what to share and who to share it with, whether that's the whole community or only specific people you choose. You can stop sharing at any time, and choosing not to participate will never limit your use of the app.

Data export and backup

The app provides a built-in JSON export feature so you can back up your data at any time. Exported files are saved to your device and are under your full control. We recommend regular exports to protect against data loss if you change devices or reinstall the app.

Data deletion

You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app. Individual habits and their history can also be deleted from within the app using the habit settings menu. Deleting a habit permanently removes all associated data from your device.

Children's privacy

Buck a Month Habits does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The app contains no advertising. The optional accountability community is opt-in and off by default, so the app has no active social features unless you choose to turn sharing on.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the date above. Any future changes that involve data collection will be opt-in and clearly disclosed.
